DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, 20th June 2026\nDrogheda Presbyterian Church\n2:00 pm – 4:30 pm \nThe Down Syndrome Ireland Louth Meath Branch is delighted to offer a Sibling Support Workshop (Sibshop) for the brothers and sisters of our members. \nThe workshops will be facilitated by Liz Fitzpatrick and Linda Foley\, both experienced nurses working with children with an intellectual disability. Liz and Linda are qualified Sibshop Facilitators and have extensive experience delivering these enjoyable and supportive workshops for siblings of children with additional needs. \nSibshops provide a unique opportunity for siblings to: \n\nMeet other children who have a brother or sister with special needs\nShare experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment\nTalk about both the challenges and the positives of having a sibling with additional needs\nTake part in fun games\, activities and group discussions\n\nWhile the focus is on having fun\, the workshops also help siblings realise they are not alone and provide a valuable opportunity to connect with others who understand their experiences. \nWho Can Attend?\nThe workshops are open to: \n\nSiblings of Down Syndrome Ireland Louth Meath Branch members\nChildren aged 7 to 13 years\nFamilies where the child with Down syndrome is over 2½ years of age\, helping siblings to better understand and discuss their brother or sister’s additional needs\n\nCost\nThese workshops are free of charge for branch members. \nRegistration\nPlaces are limited and advance registration is required. \nTo register your interest\, please: \n📧 Email: info@louthmeath.downsyndrome.ie\n📱 Text Brendan: 083 897 2044 \nWe look forward to welcoming siblings for an afternoon of fun\, friendship and support.
