We are organising a Christmas Jumper Appeal to raise funds to help us support children and adults with Down syndrome throughout Louth & Meath.

All you have to do is choose a day in December where you and your family, friends, classmates and/or work colleagues wear your most Christmassy jumpers and DONATE whatever you can.

Children’s Christmas Party

Children’s Christmas Party (for 0 – 13ish-year-olds)

Down Syndrome Ireland – Louth/Meath Branch are delighted to announce that the Children’s Christmas Party will take place this year in the spectacular Trim Castle Hotel

Sunday 3rd December from 2 PM – 5 PM.

Parents are asked to please arrive early to drop in their presents for their other children.

Santa will visit the party and present a gift to each of our children with Down Syndrome, sponsored by the Branch. As it is a lovely family event, we would impress upon you the importance of bringing gifts for your other children who will attend the party. Clearly mark each name and age on the gift wrap and present it to one of the organisers on the day. We do not want any child to be without a present from Santa!!

Please note there will be light refreshments served and entertainment provided on the day.

Charity Raffle

Down Syndrome Ireland – Louth Meath branch are delighted to have been chosen as the Charity Partner of the European Legends Golf Tour for its Irish Legends event in Seapoint Golf Club, Co. Louth from June 22nd to 25th 2023.

In association with this event, we are running a charity raffle to raise much needed funds for our support services for children and adults with Down syndrome.

The first prize in the raffle is a very attractive golfers Stay and Play package worth over €1,000.

The lucky raffle winner will receive vouchers for 4-ball green fees for the superb links courses of Seapoint Golf Club(venue for the Irish Legends event) and Co. Louth Golf Club – Baltray(Former venue for the Irish Open). As well as the opportunity to play both magnificent courses, the winner will also be treated to an overnight stay(with B+B) for themselves and playing partners in the luxurious, riverfront, 4-star d Hotel in nearby Drogheda.

50th Anniversary National Raffle through our local branch network

As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we are holding a national raffle through our local branch network throughout Ireland. We have 25 branches across Ireland that offer a range of services and supports to children and adults with Down syndrome and their families.

The raffle will support the DSI community at a local level as well as helping further develop supports at a national level ensuring continued support to people with Down syndrome across the lifecycle.

Your support will help make a real difference to the lives of children and adults with Down syndrome.
